Description
Chelated Iron DTPA 11% is used to treat or prevent iron deficiency such as iron chlorosis in plants. Iron is an essential micronutrient as it supports many plant functions including the production of chlorophyll which is required for photosynthesis. Without enough iron, leaves will begin to appear yellow to white. Chelated Iron DTPA is stable in solutions up to pH 7.0. The addition of chelated iron is particularly important in aquaponic systems as they are typically iron deficient.
Application Instructions
Foliar Application: Adjust water pH to 6.0 – 6.5. Add 8 grams per litre of water. Re-apply weekly until leaves recover. Foliar application is not a substitute for soil/root zone application. Foliar application should not be made to edible plants when in bloom or when fruit is on plants.
Hydroponics/Aquaponics: Dissolve completely in water prior to adding to your system. Do not exceed 20mg per litre of nutrient solution.
Soil: Incorporate into soil around plants and water after application. Can be applied alone, blended with dry water soluble fertilizer or dissolved in liquid fertilizers.
